Car recovery in Hackney
Breakdown, accident and non-runner recovery for cars across Hackney, from Dalston and Shoreditch to Hackney Wick and Stoke Newington. Every car goes on a flatbed, at a price agreed on the phone before we set off.
Recovering cars in Hackney
Hackney has some of the most extensive low-traffic neighbourhoods in London, with planters and camera-enforced filters closing many residential streets to through traffic. They make for quieter streets, but they also mean the shortest way to your car often isn’t open to a recovery truck. We plan the route in before we set off, so we arrive from the right side of the filter.
Most of the borough’s traffic uses the A10 Kingsland Road through Dalston and Stoke Newington, Mare Street, the Lea Bridge Road and the A12 past Hackney Wick. We recover cars from all of them, from the narrow streets of Shoreditch and Hoxton, and from the car park at Homerton Hospital. Tell us if your car is on a street with a school street or a timed closure, and we’ll plan around it.
What we do in Hackney
Car recovery in Hackney: your questions
Do you cover all of Hackney?
Yes. We recover cars from every street in Hackney, including Dalston, Shoreditch, Hackney Wick, Stoke Newington and Clapton, across the E2, E5, E8, E9, N1, N4 and N16 postcode districts, 24 hours a day.
How long will it take you to reach me in Hackney?
When you call, we give you an arrival time based on where our nearest truck is and the traffic on roads such as the Kingsland Road (A10) and Mare Street (A107). If that changes on the way, we ring you.
Can you recover an electric car in Hackney?
Yes. Electric and hybrid cars travel on our flatbed with all four wheels off the road, as their manufacturers require. If it has simply run out of charge, we can take it to a charger, to your home or to a garage.
Where can you take my car from Hackney?
Wherever you need it: a garage in Hackney, your home anywhere in London, a main dealer, your insurer’s repairer, or anywhere in mainland Britain. You can usually travel with us in the cab.
